-      Fourth largest global opening in history with $384 million (behind "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows'" $483.2 million, "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince's" $394.4 million and "The Avengers'" $392.5 million debuts).

-      Biggest debut in franchise history (previous record-holder was "Fast & Furious 6″ with $97.4 million).

-      Biggest Easter opening in history (previous record-holder was "Clash of the Titans" with $61.2 million).

-      Biggest April Imax opening with $22 million globally (previous record-holder was "Captain America: The Winter Soldier" with $15.4 million).

In Fast and Furious 7, the group of Dominic Toretto will face Ian Shaw, the brother of Owen out for revenge. Shaw wants to avenge his brother's death and begins to hunt down the "family" of Dom Toretto. (As we learned from the last scene of the sixth installment of "The Fast and Furious", the London events cause the murder of Han by Deckard Shaw).

Therefore, the lives of Dominic Toretto and all the others, Roman, Tej, Letty, Brian and Mia, are in danger. Hobbs the police agent is also under fire, but a government official, who works in the shadows, is ready to provide Dominic and his team the tools and resources necessary to eliminate Shaw. To achieve this goal they must first free a mysterious hacker, who was kidnapped by a group of terrorists, who created a device capable of locating any individual in real time on the entire planet.

The winner

Emmanuel Lubezki Morgenstern, (Mexico City, 1964), is a Mexican cinematographer. Lubezki began his career in Mexican film and televiion productions in the late 1980s, with the cul series "La Hora Marcada" (1986). Lubezki is a frequent collaborator with fellow Mexican filmmaker Alfonso Cuarón. The two have been friends since they were teenagers and attended the same film school at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. Together they have worked on six motion pictures. His work with Cuarón on "Children of Men" (2006), has received universal acclaim.

Lubezki received further acclaim for his work on Cuarón's "Gravity". He won

consecutive Academy Awards for Best Cinematography for his work on Alfonso Cuarón's "Gravity" and Alejandro González Iñárritu's "Birdman".
