Looking around the Trade Show, attending the conferences, hearing the most exibitors and catching for the newest trend, it seems that the efforts which permit an increase in average ticket prices and box office revenues are:

 

-Big Movies spreaded throughout the year and not just only concentrated around holidays dates;

Ticket sales in this first semester increased by 5%, but there are still big improvements to make.

Box Office Italy has encountered a serious problem of Italian products:

-the narrow genres offer (only comedies and arthouse films);

- presence of film in summer.

The President of ANICA says: "We need to increase efforts to diversify to the maximum the proposal of movie genres.

The President of ANEC declares: "We need to increase the output in periods of greater space."

The President of ANEM says: "There is no market without a strong presence of italian films that have come out even in the summer."

 

 

-Superior Guest Experiences with luxurious lobbies, bigger reclining seats and personal food services;

There are even more movie theater and multiplexes which offers menus of delicious option, so as a full cocktail bar proposal. It's possible to reserve everything from outside or inside the movie theater

order from the seat side.

 

Reserving the dinner outside the movie theater:

-Choose a movie and showtime ;

- Reserve the seat;

- Visit the menù for the preferred site and show;

- Choose and reserve deliciouses options and/or desserts and/or drinks.

- When have take seat push the service button at the seat and a server will arrive with what ordered.

 

Reserving the dinner inside the movie theater:

- Browse the menu of appetizers, entrees, desserts, beer, wine and cocktails;

- When ready, push the service button at each own seat and a server will arrive to take your order;

BARCO

Barco is working on "Barco Escape" and announce that veteran producer Jerry Bruckheimer will use the format for an upcoming project. His company, Jerry Bruckheimer Films, will also explore re-envisioning a classic Bruckheimer film in the format offering audiences an unmatched viewing experience inside the action never before available.

Viewing a film in the Escape format, pratically in three different screens, is not the same as simply watching it on a much bigger visual plain such as with IMAX or Cinerama.

CJ CGV

CJ CGV unveiled "ScreenX", a multi-projection technology that extends the movie from a main screen onto the sidewalls of a theatre. By using all three sides the technology offers the audience an immersive experience.

CJ CGVdeveloped ScreenX in cooperation with KAIST. The multi-projection system was patented in Korea last September and has patent applications pending overseas.

 The system uses six projectors per wall for a total of 13 projectors.

According to the company, ScreenX is projector and server agnostic, though currently the digital cinema projectors are from Christie, the servers are from Hewlett-Packard.

This system is primarily used for advertising and have yet to support a feature-length film. 

 

-Laser Illumination System that can be used to offer a better movie brightness so as lifetime cost effective solutions.

Cinemeccanica presented "Lux", the Smart Cinema Laser: a new line of laser projectors.

The new LUX solution features modular 6P laser source projectors providing a massive 30 percent increase in brightness, a lifetime of 30,000 hours rather than 500, and a gain in energy efficiency of more than 50 percent.

The LUX laser light engine provides cinemas and event production professionals, among others, with a 3D system-agnostic solution that allows all standard 3D techniques, including 6P color separation. It also offers improved brightness for 2D. The professionals can now operate at a higher level of consistency and confidence as the LUX laser light engine delivers constant brightness powering up the largest screens with no xenon light decay.

(Union Internationale des Cinemàs) has launched his annual event in which movie theaters, multiplexes owners so as professionals in the entertainment fields, from all around the world, have thought about how to maintain their existing customers and ideally add new ones in an increasingly competitive entertainment environment.

 

Attending at the "CineEurope Focus Sessions" on the Trade Show, hearing the most exibitors and having a look at the trend it seems that the efforts which permit an increase in average ticket prices and box office revenues are:

 

- Laser Illumination System that can be used to offer a better movie brightness so as lifetime cost effective solutions.

The 2015 Shangai Internationale Film Festival was the 18th such festival devoted to international cinema held in Shangai from 13th to 18th June, China.

 

Prizes were decided by a jury headed by Russian director Andrey Zvyagintsev ("Leviathan").

Organizers reported that the festival screened 391 films, 1,275 times on 51 screens in 45 movie theaters across 17 Shanghai districts. They reached an audience of over 300,000, and earned nearly RMB18 million at the box office.

The allure of dinosaurus beats the box offices.

"Jurassic World" opened with $ 511.8 million worldwide, the highest global bow of all time. It marks the first time a film has ever grossed more than $ 500 million in a single weekend.

The dinosaur thriller is the top-ranking film, after opening in first place in North America and across all 66 international territories where it debuted.

 

Domestically, "Jurassic World" scored the second-biggest debut in history with $ 204.8 million, nipping at the heels of

"Marvel's The Avengers'" $ 207.4 million bow.

 

Internationally, results were boosted by a mammoth $100 million opening in China.

Other openings of note include:

-United Kingdom and Ireland with $29.6 million;

-Mexico with $16.2 million;

-Korea with $14.4 million;

-France with $12.5 million;

-Australia with $12.1 million;

-Germany with $11 million.

 

The only major territory remaining is Japan, where "Jurassic World" will roar on Aug. 5.

 

In terms of premium formats, Imax put up a record-setting international weekend of $ 23.5 million, and 3D screenings accounted for 50% of the global bounty.
